Kendrick Lamar’s “Alright” Music video, released in June of 2015 has sense been widely acclaimed over all audiences. Considered by some to be the “video of the year,” the Berlin Music Video Awards saw “Alright” as just that—giving the 2016 award of Best Director to London Alley’s very own Colin Tilley.
It’s no surprise “Alright” received the recognition it did. The symbolic, moody blend of visually appealing and culturally questioning vignettes create a piece deserving of multiple viewings.
In an interview with MTV, Colin says “I’ve never actually worked with an artist like Kendrick that wants to keep pushing the creative to a whole ‘nother world. Every little detail matters to him. So, it was really fun to continue to mold the concept from where we started.”
