London Alley Signs Director Carla Dauden

It’s official: Bi-continental director and storyteller Carla Dauden has joined the London Alley family. The award-winning, São Paulo native has a deep catalogue of impressive commercial, music video, and documentary work, crafted through her devotion to unique and empathetic narratives centered around the rawness of human experience.

In between her work for brands such as Google, Microsoft, Target, Delta, and Facebook, Carla maintains a steady stream of anthropologically charged documentary productions. As a part of Disney’s “Team of Heroes” initiative, she created and directed the Emmy-nominated campaign “A Whole New World,” which amplified the philanthropic efforts of the team to deliver comfort and inspiration to families with children facing serious illness. Earlier this year, Carla was selected by the Disney/ABC directing program to direct her first television episode for the highly acclaimed show, “Good Trouble”.

With her insatiable drive towards positive change, Carla could not stop there, and she worked to expand her impact globally as a prolific documentarian. She continued her work on several independent documentaries and her first narrative short, “Mr. Polman Wants to Fit In”, which screened at several Oscar-qualifying festivals including Raindance and Short Shorts Asia. Building on that momentum, she co-directed the short documentary “The Discarded: A Tale of Two Rios,” which won best short at the American Conservation Film Festival, then directed the short film “The Jump” which was later released on PBS and was produced by the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) in 2018 as a part of their Latino Lens Incubator. Most recently, she directed the documentary feature “The Hosts,” which premiered at the 36th Santa Barbara International Film Festival in the Social Justice category, and will be featured in the São Paulo International Film Festival.

Carla intends to continue capturing the intricate, intimate moments which bind together to tell a story, and we are proud to be a part of her journey as she continues to grow and move audiences everywhere.
